Technical Regulation Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan
In accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 27.02.2024 No. PF-41 “On measures to further improve state administration in the field of technical regulation”, the Technical Regulation Agency under the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan was transferred to the departmental subordination of the Cabinet of Ministers on 29.02.2024.
The main areas of activity of the Technical Regulation Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan
expanding cooperation with international organizations and foreign countries in the recognition of national conformity assessment, testing and measurement results in export markets;
taking targeted measures to ensure compliance of domestic products with modern requirements and increase their competitiveness in foreign markets by introducing international standards and technical regulations in the production of domestic products;
to widely introduce modern quality management systems, primarily at exporting enterprises, and ensure compliance of products with the requirements of technical regulations and regulatory documents on standardization;
to harmonize national legislation, technical regulation, conformity assessment instruments and regulatory documents on standardization with the requirements of the World Trade Organization;
to take measures to ensure compliance with the requirements for the quality and safety of products (works, services) and to protect consumer rights from the negative consequences of incorrect measurement results;
to organize state control over the mandatory requirements of regulatory documents in the field of technical regulation, ensuring the uniformity and accuracy of measurements, and compliance with the rules of mandatory certification and to coordinate its implementation;
to take effective measures to prevent and prevent violations of legislative acts in the fields of technical regulation, including standardization and metrology;
achieving efficiency and effectiveness through digitalization of the technical regulatory sphere, expanding the range of public services provided to business entities, and introducing an effective system that is transparent and free from corruption;
organizing retraining and advanced training of personnel in the field of technical regulation.
